This is a month when the lines between the past, present and future are not only set to become blurred but remain blurred. Things will always become nostalgic with the Sun's return to a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart on 22nd December, to begin the month long wind down of your old solar year. This is a process that will always play out during the last 10 days and the first three weeks of every year, so this is always a nostalgic time of year for you. However, you begin December with Venus already here and Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion's return in the early days of the month a game changer. To have any planet in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart means that you are coming to the end of a planetary cycle. You do this once a year with your solar year, your Venus and your Mercury cycle. However, you have had Saturn and Pluto here for years, while Jupiter's return means that by 3rd December you will be in the first day of the 12 month wind down of a 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion that began in 2009. While this means that a lot of old doors are closing, it also means that there are major new beginnings ahead, with Venus returning to Aquarius on 20th December, the Sun next month, Saturn in March and Jupiter in December 2020. While this explains the focus on the past and the future, what keeps the focus on the present is the large amount of planetary activity you have in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking. This is a social and serendipitous part of your chart, an area of your chart that operates through the laws of synchronicity and is very much anchored in the moment. Yet whether the focus is on the past, present or future and how much they overlap, there is good news on all fronts. Meanwhile, while Mars is making the last month of this professional year the busiest and most professionally charged, with a Full Moon in a playful part of your chart on 12th December and Venus, the planet of love returning to Aquarius on 20th December and in time for Christmas, New Year and the holiday period, there are safeguards to make sure life doesn't become all work and no play.
Week beginning Monday 9th of December 2019
When you not only have a growing number of planets in a nostalgic, reflective but also intuitive and imaginative part of your chart but when this includes the three most powerful planets in the solar system, this is something that can't be ignored. Even Mars, who takes your professional year into the fast lane this week and will keep it there for the rest of the year, knows that he will have to work around work/life balance parameters. It is not that you need to spend your whole time navel gazing. Instead, it is about recognising the importance of making time to hear yourself think and of making that quality time. In the meantime, there is a treat for you this week, with the last Full Moon of 2019 falling in a playful part of your chart on Thursday. As things take off professionally this is a reminder that life can't be all work and no play. There is a romantic component to this Full Moon and this could have a tie in to Venus, the planet of love's return to Aquarius next week.
Monday 9th of December 2019
As the Moon makes its last visit to your home and family sector for the year, a clash with Mars in your career sector could create some work/life balance tension or issues but the timing couldn't be better. This comes just as Mercury's departure from your career sector today will let Mars off his leash and with the warrior planet of the cosmos not leaving until the New Year, this professional year is about to heat up. The Moon and Mars clash just hours before this happens, bringing the right work/life balance reminder at the right time.
Aquarius is the eleventh zodiac sign, and the last of the clever and intellectual air signs. You are traditionally ruled by Saturn, and co-ruled by Uranus in modern day. Uranus is new, quirky and non-conformist. You like new, quirky and non-conformist, so it's a good fit.
The other planets are all named after Roman Gods, Uranus is named after a Greek one. The planets all orbit a certain uniform way, but not Uranus, because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways. All very unique, but then so are you!
You are the thinker and the humanitarian of our zodiac. You have an independent, eccentric, inventive and original spirit and usually no desire whatsoever to conform. You're happy to be different.
Your outlook is futuristic but, if Mercury is close to your Sun, you can be quite unchanging in your opinions. You have difficulty grasping the viewpoints of others, once you've made your mind up, like the other fixed signs, little can change it.
Yours is a fixed sign, change doesn't always come easy, so there's a dilemma. You're inventive, you want to discover new and different ways of doing things, but then you might find that you're not too keen to adapt and try them.
Aquarius rules over our wider associations and the groups that we belong to, and you're sure to belong to a group of a club. You're innately a team player, you feel energised and happy when you're part of the crowd. Some say that you're difficult to get close to, you're not inclined to discuss your feelings, although you're knowledgeable and happy to discuss everything and anything else.
You can be eccentric, idealistic and unpredictable, but as a friend or partner, you are friendly, faithful, unswerving and steadfast. You're not shallow in your affections but you don't wear your heart on your sleeve either. You love truly and deeply, you don't feel the need to voice sentiment often but you're generous to those you love and your gifts are often well chosen, if not inspired.
There are many professions you might enjoy, none of them are solitary. You prefer to work independently at whatever you do, you don't like to have anyone watching over your shoulder, but you do prefer to work as part of a team. You're probably popular among your co-workers.
Technology and computers belong to your sign, yet your symbol is a man pouring water from an Urn. Water is the source of life, and in older pictures, the man was often represented as an angel. Perhaps an Aquarian artist changed the angel to an old man, because you can be an angel and modest about it.
You get along best with the other air signs, Gemini and Libra, and also well with the fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Although the other planets in your horoscope will all have their say and mitigate how you express your Aquarius energy and who you get along well with.
