January 2020

To begin the month and the year with six planets in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart is significant and there are two big takeaways from this. The first is that when you have six planets all telling you to make time to hear yourself think and when half of those planets are some of the most powerful planets in the solar system, you don't argue with this. To a degree you are used to this, with the Sun always spending the three weeks of every year here. The month long wind down of your old solar year always begins just before Christmas and will end when the Sun returns to Aquarius to begin your birthday month and new solar year on 21st January. The difference this time is the number of planets here and the importance this places on time out to hear yourself think. The second takeaway is what this means long term because this nostalgic and reflective part of your chart is where a planet returns before returning to Aquarius. This puts you at the end of six planetary cycles at the same time and when you have a lot of endings, it means that you are poised for a lot of new beginnings, some this month and some over the course of the year. Mercury will leave and return to Aquarius on 17th January and the Sun to begin your birthday month and new solar year on 21st January. Venus made that move just before Christmas and will spend the first two weeks of January in Aquarius. Others will take longer, with Saturn returning to Aquarius in March and Jupiter in December. From the get go the lines between the past, present and future will be blurred, with endings and beginnings overlapping. However, this does not mean that you will spend the month navel gazing. This is in fact, a good month across the income, work and career fronts. While Mars will leave your career sector on 3rd January, the momentum he has created will not only get this professional year off to an empowered start but will be maintained by forces on the job and income fronts. With a lunar eclipse in your work sector on 10th/11th January and Venus returning to your income sector on 14th January that support will only increase.

Week beginning Monday 20th of January 2020

If it feels like it always takes you a few weeks into any year until you feel motivated or get a feel for its influence then you are right. Yet this has nothing to do with a lack of motivation or enthusiasm and everything to do with the fact that for you, the year doesn't really get started until the Sun returns to Aquarius, which it does on Tuesday. This is the point in any year when your birthday month and new solar year begin and you finally feel engaged. This not something any of your cosmic mates experience, even those whose birthday months begin much later than yours. The reason why you still feel stuck or connected to the old year is because the month long wind down and review of your old solar year always begins just before Christmas. However, you will quickly make up for a slow start because while Venus left Aquarius last week and is now more focused on income potential, she has left you with a clear sense of what you want from the get go.

Thursday 23rd of January 2020

Having the Moon in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart during the Sun's early days in Aquarius is akin to starting your new solar year with the handbrake on. Yet while this might slow things down, ahead of a New Moon over the weekend that will bring a chance to commit to your new solar year, the future and the journey ahead, this gives you time to hear yourself think. Considering the major new doors set to open over the coming months, this is one solar year that you don't need or want to rush into.

About Aquarius

Information about your birth sign

Aquarius is the eleventh zodiac sign, and the last of the clever and intellectual air signs. You are traditionally ruled by Saturn, and co-ruled by Uranus in modern day. Uranus is new, quirky and non-conformist. You like new, quirky and non-conformist, so it's a good fit.

The other planets are all named after Roman Gods, Uranus is named after a Greek one. The planets all orbit a certain uniform way, but not Uranus, because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways. All very unique, but then so are you!

You are the thinker and the humanitarian of our zodiac. You have an independent, eccentric, inventive and original spirit and usually no desire whatsoever to conform. You're happy to be different.

Your outlook is futuristic but, if Mercury is close to your Sun, you can be quite unchanging in your opinions. You have difficulty grasping the viewpoints of others, once you've made your mind up, like the other fixed signs, little can change it.

Yours is a fixed sign, change doesn't always come easy, so there's a dilemma. You're inventive, you want to discover new and different ways of doing things, but then you might find that you're not too keen to adapt and try them.

Aquarius rules over our wider associations and the groups that we belong to, and you're sure to belong to a group of a club. You're innately a team player, you feel energised and happy when you're part of the crowd. Some say that you're difficult to get close to, you're not inclined to discuss your feelings, although you're knowledgeable and happy to discuss everything and anything else.

You can be eccentric, idealistic and unpredictable, but as a friend or partner, you are friendly, faithful, unswerving and steadfast. You're not shallow in your affections but you don't wear your heart on your sleeve either. You love truly and deeply, you don't feel the need to voice sentiment often but you're generous to those you love and your gifts are often well chosen, if not inspired.

There are many professions you might enjoy, none of them are solitary. You prefer to work independently at whatever you do, you don't like to have anyone watching over your shoulder, but you do prefer to work as part of a team. You're probably popular among your co-workers.

Technology and computers belong to your sign, yet your symbol is a man pouring water from an Urn. Water is the source of life, and in older pictures, the man was often represented as an angel. Perhaps an Aquarian artist changed the angel to an old man, because you can be an angel and modest about it.

You get along best with the other air signs, Gemini and Libra, and also well with the fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Although the other planets in your horoscope will all have their say and mitigate how you express your Aquarius energy and who you get along well with.
