Despite the fact that you not only begin this month, as you have every other month for the last two years with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, from the get go this month will feel different. This is partly because, after returning to Capricorn late last month, you begin the month with Venus here, giving your heart a voice from the get go. However, with your birthday month and new solar year still three weeks away, this doesn't explain a sense of anticipation from the get go and a sense that major new doors are preparing to open. Much closer than the Sun's return to Capricorn on 22nd December is Jupiter's game changing return in the early days of the month. By 3rd December Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion will not only be in Capricorn but this is the first day of a 12 month journey that will make the coming year one of the most important, expansive and significant in over a decade. It is not Jupiter's return that makes this a once in a lifetime event, for he returns once every 12 years and more that the planet of luck and expansion will team up with Saturn and Pluto, for the first time in Capricorn in our lifetime. What makes this even more significant is that Pluto has not only been here since 2008 but having returned during Jupiter's last visit, but has kept what began then alive. What you have, in the early hours of the month is the planet of luck, change and the planet that can give you the power to move mountains, coming together in Capricorn and creating a team that will define the next 12 months. To begin with this will see the lines between the past, present and future become even more blurred, because until the Sun returns to Capricorn on 22nd December you are still in the final weeks of your old solar year, something that requires time for reflection. Fortunately, the new era you are moving into has no urgency. An eclipsing New Moon on 26th December will be a chance to commit to your new solar year, the future and the journey ahead. Meanwhile, while you have a Full Moon on the job front on 12th December, activity on the career front all month and Venus returning to your income sector on 20th December, this comes with few demands and a lot of potential.
Week beginning Monday 9th of December 2019
While Venus and Jupiter will not align in Capricorn and as they spend their first, last and only full week together here their focus is very different, together they are changing your view on what's possible. Venus is only here for 24 days and gone before the Sun returns to begin your birthday month and new solar year later next week, she is on a mission to give your heart a voice but in a way that is focused on what you want now. As the planet of love, this includes capitalising on the romantically charged lunar vibes at the start of the week. On the other hand, this is the first full week of Jupiter's 12 month visit and the start of a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion. Venus is here for the short and Jupiter for the long term. Venus wants it now and Jupiter wants to build for the future, yet between them, there is now a new belief that anything is possible. In the meantime, a Full Moon on the job front on Thursday will give the final weeks of this professional year a boost.
Monday 9th of December 2019
By this time next week we will be in the very heart of a major aspect between Uranus in a playful part of your chart and Jupiter in Capricorn, something that last happened eight decades ago. Why that matters now is that today the Moon is making that exact same aspect, bringing an opportunity for a dress rehearsal or a taste of things to come. This makes this a day for listening to your heart, intuition, instincts and imagination, in a way that allows you to look to the past, present and future. What is happening is a chance to completely change your perspective, especially on a sense of what's possible.
Capricorn is the tenth sign of the zodiac, ruled by the planet Saturn. The planet that has the pretty coloured rings around it!
Yours is a feminine sign but before anyone expects you to be soft or fluffy, they should know that you're a determined and capable cardinal sign. You don't mind taking orders but with your considerable ambition, you're more likely to be the one giving them.
The rings around planet Saturn symbolise boundaries and you are sure to come up against one or two of these in your lifetime. You have strong personal boundaries too, as you're naturally cautious and you like to get to know people before you allow them to get too close.
The symbol for Capricorn is the goat. Some lucky goats live wild on the mountainside, able to slowly climb ever upwards to the summit. The view from the top of the mountain is something every pioneering goat wants to experience.
Other goats are confined to farmland, or tied to ropes to stop them wandering, but they seem to happily accept these boundaries and continue to graze on the grass and produce nourishing milk. Whether you get to the top of your field or not, you'll always be productive!
In myth, Saturn was the Roman God of agriculture and he ruled over the grain and harvest. Another of Saturn's many faces is Old Father Time. You like to do things at your own pace, or in your own time. Although you appear to have a strange relationship to time, you can live it backwards!
In youth, you're often the quiet child with the old wise head on young shoulders and you're able to behave with incredible restraint and maturity. Then you reach old age and suddenly you do a complete turn around and you're able to be playful, childlike and uninhibited. You're able to take the insecurities of your childhood and work on them until they become your strengths in the future.
We might find you working in a government office or on a building site, where you'll probably be in charge, or we might find you at home caring expertly for your family. Capricorn is on the parental axis of the horoscope, like your opposite sign Cancer, you're one of the caretakers of the zodiac. You're excellent parent material, and because you do genuinely care about others, you'll readily offer support to your friends and workmates too.
Some say that you're like a fine wine that matures beautifully with age. You get along best with the other earth signs, Taurus and Virgo, and also with the water signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
Saturn moves slowly through the signs, taking 29 years to complete one round of the zodiac. It's position in your horoscope adds another layer to your intricate personality. If you'd like to know more, one of our astrologers will be happy to take your call.
