July wasn't the easiest month for you. It began with Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos retrograding back in just three and a half months after leaving when he is usually gone for three decades. In that time Jupiter and Pluto had been given free rein and as the planets of luck and change had used Saturn's absence to focus on the 'what' without too much thought to the 'when, where and how'. That changed with Saturn's return but it was just 10 days later that the Sun started to apply pressure. Between 12th July and leaving your opposing sign Cancer on 22nd July, the Sun opposed all three planets in Capricorn, creating the potential for personal and/or relationship tension. Before leaving Cancer, ruler of your relationship sector on 5th August Mercury will do the same but there are a few differences this time. The first is that Mercury is twice as fast as the Sun so any personal and/or relationship tension won't linger. The second is that as the planet of communication, as your personal and relationship needs clash he will work to ensure the communication lines are open. Thirdly, this will also deliver the personal wakeup calls needed to make the most of Saturn and Jupiter's last full month in retrograde motion in Capricorn, with his intellectually savvy edge giving you a better chance to observe objectively. Meanwhile, Mercury will move on to join the Sun in your financial sector, lending his smart head for money to the annual financial update and review that happens at this time every year. While a Full Moon in your income sector on 4th August might create some temporary financial tension, with Venus in her final days in your work sector by then, this is more likely to act as a catalyst or trigger across the financial, income, work and career fronts.
Week beginning Monday 3rd of August 2020
Tuesday's Full Moon falls in the wrong place at the right time. By its very nature a Full Moon is a result of the Moon being in the wrong place, which is opposite the Sun and therefore potentially creating tension. Tuesday's Full Moon is no exception for with the Moon in your income and the Sun in your financial sector this is likely to create some financial tension, exposing any balance issues between money coming in and money going out. However, Full Moons don't always fall at the right time but this one does, falling in your income sector during Venus' final days in your work sector and at a friendly aspect to Juno in your career sector. Just as there is pressure from the Sun there is a galvanising effect across the income, work and career fronts which can very quickly turn financial tension into motivation. It helps that just minutes after the Moon leaves your income sector on Wednesday Mercury will return to your financial sector, with his smart head for money able to catch financial tension as it falls.
Monday 3rd of August 2020
The Moon's departure from Capricorn today is a win/win, for while it won't put an end to any personal and/or relationship tension it will stop exacerbating your emotional responses to any. Mercury is still spending his final two days in your relationship sector at odds with Saturn in Capricorn and this is exposing any balance issues between your personal and relationship needs. However, Mercury is now able to get on with the job of giving your relationships a voice and Saturn with the job of helping you to take responsibility where you need to.
Capricorn is the tenth sign of the zodiac, ruled by the planet Saturn. The planet that has the pretty coloured rings around it!
Yours is a feminine sign but before anyone expects you to be soft or fluffy, they should know that you're a determined and capable cardinal sign. You don't mind taking orders but with your considerable ambition, you're more likely to be the one giving them.
The rings around planet Saturn symbolise boundaries and you are sure to come up against one or two of these in your lifetime. You have strong personal boundaries too, as you're naturally cautious and you like to get to know people before you allow them to get too close.
The symbol for Capricorn is the goat. Some lucky goats live wild on the mountainside, able to slowly climb ever upwards to the summit. The view from the top of the mountain is something every pioneering goat wants to experience.
Other goats are confined to farmland, or tied to ropes to stop them wandering, but they seem to happily accept these boundaries and continue to graze on the grass and produce nourishing milk. Whether you get to the top of your field or not, you'll always be productive!
In myth, Saturn was the Roman God of agriculture and he ruled over the grain and harvest. Another of Saturn's many faces is Old Father Time. You like to do things at your own pace, or in your own time. Although you appear to have a strange relationship to time, you can live it backwards!
In youth, you're often the quiet child with the old wise head on young shoulders and you're able to behave with incredible restraint and maturity. Then you reach old age and suddenly you do a complete turn around and you're able to be playful, childlike and uninhibited. You're able to take the insecurities of your childhood and work on them until they become your strengths in the future.
We might find you working in a government office or on a building site, where you'll probably be in charge, or we might find you at home caring expertly for your family. Capricorn is on the parental axis of the horoscope, like your opposite sign Cancer, you're one of the caretakers of the zodiac. You're excellent parent material, and because you do genuinely care about others, you'll readily offer support to your friends and workmates too.
Some say that you're like a fine wine that matures beautifully with age. You get along best with the other earth signs, Taurus and Virgo, and also with the water signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
Saturn moves slowly through the signs, taking 29 years to complete one round of the zodiac. It's position in your horoscope adds another layer to your intricate personality. If you'd like to know more, one of our astrologers will be happy to take your call.
